Terms of Service

1. Overview

Side Door ("we," "us," "the platform") provides a way for independent artists ("Artists") and space owners ("Hosts") to find and arrange live music shows ("Shows"). By creating a profile or using the site, you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use Side Door

You must be able to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to create an Artist or Host profile. Hosts are responsible for confirming their space complies with local noise ordinances, occupancy limits, and any applicable permits.

3. Bookings between Artists and Hosts

Side Door facilitates the introduction and scheduling between Artists and Hosts. The agreement to hold a Show, including date, door price, and guest cap, is between the Artist and the Host directly. Side Door is not a party to that agreement.

4. Guest tickets and refunds

Guests reserve a seat by paying the listed door price. Refund and cancellation terms for a specific Show are set by the Artist and Host at the time the Show is listed and shown to guests before purchase.

5. Fees

Creating a profile is free. Fees that apply once a Show is booked are described on the Pricing page and confirmed before a booking is finalized.

6. Conduct

Hosts are opening their space and Artists are trusting a stranger's space. Harassment, discrimination, or unsafe conduct by any party is grounds for removal from the platform.

7. Limitation of liability

Side Door is not responsible for the conduct of Artists, Hosts, or guests, or for property damage, injury, or disputes arising from a Show. Use of any Host space and attendance at any Show is at each person's own risk.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
